Gus came to us back in January in a horrific state, he had little fur on him, and extremely sore skin. His nails were so long they were curling into his toes. He couldn walk properly because he was so malnourished. Now, nearly 3 months on, we have finally got a diagnosis for him; he has auto immune disease. This is currently kept under control with 3x weekly baths and a very high dose of steroids.
Gus has put weight on nicely, but we are desperately trying to find him a calm pet free home with older children, where he can live his life to the full.
Gus is an Akita cross, 4 years old, who loves being out and about walking and meeting other dogs (to which he is great with)
We would like him to go into foster, (ideally locally) with the possibility of being adopted once he is on a very low dose of steroids, then he can be vaccinated and neutered. Please contact us on 01283 569165 for more information
